Cyclone-induced breaches have affected the lakes in Chengalpattu District’s Medavakkam village. In response, the Medavakkam volunteers have taken up the task of restoring Medavakkam Periya Eri, spanning 55 acres.

Our ongoing efforts – in partnership with Social Town NGO and supported by Neem software – as part of the Nemosphere project include tree plantation initiatives, aimed at expanding the green cover in and around the lake. This collaborative endeavor seeks to rejuvenate the ecosystem and promote environmental sustainability for the benefit of the community.
